New Frontiers in T.B.I., Inc. was founded in September 2000, with modest beginnings and tall objectives to serve individuals with acquired brain injury. Services in New York City began in April 2004.
Established in 2000 in Buffalo, NY, New Frontiers in TBI, Inc. began as a private, for-profit organization committed to facilitating opportunities for independence and self-advocacy for adults with traumatic brain injury. The ultimate goal was to allow individuals with brain injury to reside in their own homes in the community, versus nursing home residence, and to provide them with the supports and services needed to make this possible. A decade later, New Frontiers now has offices in Buffalo and New York City and has expanded its scope in home health services, providing not only a greater variety of services, but also serving additional populations such as the elderly and people with disabilities.
The philosophy of New Frontiers centers on the rights of our clients to live as independently as possible and be part of the community. New Frontiers’ mission is to assist the people we serve in achieving maximum autonomy, potential and independence, to enhance their quality of life.
